The Las Vegas Guardian Angel Cathedral is one of the most popular churches in Las Vegas and there is often standing room only on Saturday afternoons. Many Las Vegas tourists come to the services to pray for luck at the casino, and sometimes drop casino chips into the collection cups during a special tourist mass.

The priest, known as the 'chip monk' collects the casino chips and then takes them to the relevant Las Vegas casinos to cash them in for the churches' funds.
